Fors Marsh Group’s People and Culture Division is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, collaborative self-starter who has a passion for helping people to join our team. The Senior HR Generalist will help to accomplish these goals by supporting our employees daily to make an impact. Tasks include benefits processing, payroll, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, employee training and development, policy implementation and compliance. But most importantly, the person in this role will act as a partner to our employees, providing resources and assistance for programs that support our employees and help them thrive at FMG.

Responsibilities include:

  • Works as a senior generalist in a variety of Human Resources functions including but not limited to: employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational and employee training & development, HRIS and payroll administration, and employee morale programs.
  • Serve as the team lead for the Employee Partnership team
  • Mentor and contribute to the growth of other HR Generalists on the team
  • Conduct employee orientations and onboarding programs for designated division(s) within the organization.
  • Independently supports employee relations programs and practices by addressing employee concerns.
  • Responsible for effective transition of exiting staff.
  • Develops and implements employee morale plans for designated division(s).
  • Assists in the formulation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current understanding of federal and local laws and regulations relative to HR administration to ensure compliance.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of work experience in a Generalist HR role, previous experience in a government contracting environment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Experience with various human resources information systems, including Learning Management systems, Applicant Tracking Systems and payroll processing.
  • Experience with LMS and/or performance management system preferred.
  • Experience mentoring and growing junior employees, formal management experience preferred.
  • Experience conducting employee relations (investigations, complaints, etc.)
  • Adaptability and flexibility to shift tasks and prioritize on short notice.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal oversight.
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Experience and comfort with conducting trainings to a large group.
