Job Description

The Senior Corporate Learning and Development Specialist (SCLDS) is responsible for the development, rollout and maintenance of all training curriculums and delivery of content to all stakeholders within Formosa Plastics Corporation, USA. This position works to develop and enhance departmental initiatives by identifying challenges and opportunities, leveraging performance results and the strategic business path. The role will furthermore implement training programs to complement and enhance employee and organizational performance. The successful candidate will be a key member of Formosa’s Human Resources Team. The role requires the individual to have exceptional communications, project management, and uses analytics to improve employee engagement, and retention ensuring that Formosa Plastics Corporation, USA remains an industry leader.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Identify, create and deliver sustainable programs covering topics including, but not limited to remaining competitive in the workplace, management essentials, diversity and inclusion, mental health, performance expectations, role clarification, initiative and talent utilization
  • Lead large groups, small interactive groups and individual focusing on department training needs via live in-person and virtual formats
  • Work in collaboration with stake holders, human resources, business partners and other team members to review business challenges, identify root cause issues and propose actionable alternatives
  • Audit, develop and initiate compliance of master training plans within all company departments.
  • Ability to collaborate with other HR team members, company and departmental leaders to develop, design and update human resources policies and guidelines to assure compliance with business needs and current federal and state laws
  • Serve as catalyst within the organization to motivate all employees in understanding importance of core training, assist with and contribute to new hire onboarding and first 90 days success
  • Assists in the development and execution of weekly, monthly and yearly standard and custom reports for ongoing internal customer needs
  • Develops guidelines and documentation for all end users
  • Nurtures and maintains strong partnerships with HR, and Business Unit stakeholders
  • Operational oversight of virtual learning programs
  • Identify and present opportunities to incorporate new training solutions as identified by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from external sources
  • Other duties as identified by supervisor to maintain program integrity

Minimum Requirements:

  • Four (4) to eight (8) years of experience with designing, facilitating, administrating, and maintaining Corporate Training programs and platforms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in human development field, i.e. psychology, social work, human resources, learning and development
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, as well as internal and external stakeholders, adapting facilitation style and behavior based on objectives and audience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communications whether via telephone, in person, or in writing
  • LITMOS and/or Ceridian Dayforce Learning Management System experience highly preferred
  • Advanced skills working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Confidence working in a 100% paperless, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and customer service, maintain a professional demeanor and treat others with dignity and respect.
  • Physical requirements include duties common to a typical office environment
  • Some travel may be needed to Texas and Louisiana
