Heavy Highway Construction company in South Texas is hiring experienced truck drivers. We have road construction projects all over the Rio Grande Valley.
Drive a commercial vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Will be transporting job supplies or equipment to and from job sites. Commercial vehicles include: dump trucks, water trucks, service trucks, and lowboys to transport heavy equipment.
Essential Job Functions and Requirements
Commercial Driver License with good driving record required.
Tanker and/or hazmat endorsements preferred.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of the truck.
Must have knowledge of applicable DOT rules and regulations.
May be required to help with ground work when truck is not being operated.
Operate all commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Advise the Foreman/Superintendent of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
Work with minimal supervision.
Practice workplace safety.
Performs other related duties.
