Senior IT Project Manager

The Forcura Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of the company’s products and technology projects. The Senior IT Project Manager will work primarily with the Product, Engineering and Client Experience teams to provide project planning and management for prioritized company initiatives.  This team member will ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget.  The Senior IT Project Manager will be a self-starter who can manage and prioritize multiple work streams, and possesses excellent communication and analytical skills.  

Job Responsibilities

• Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all technical resources are actively working toward established milestones
• Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers, business analysts and other more junior members of the team.
• Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
• Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
• Manage projects with expansive enterprise complexity and scope, often with critical stakeholder interaction
• Develop project plans with milestones (i.e. iterative deliveries) to ensure scope, business value, stakeholders, cost, estimated timelines, risks and constraints are understood by delivery team
• Ensure that progress updates and milestones are documented and presented transparently and in a timely manner to appropriate organization leaders
• Remove team level impediments and clear the path for effective delivery of value to customers; escalate when appropriate
• Identify trends to empower teams to work toward measurable process improvements and best practices resulting in more effective delivery process
• Own the project management process including managing all project management tools
• Develop and implement new business change processes, systems, products and services
• Demonstrate an understanding of company product and user experience, highlighting ability to identify issues and opportunities
• Develop and/or contribute to product use cases, to help define features and functionality
• Understand priorities set for sprints
• Experience in requirements gathering and product testing
• Assist in documenting, implementing and training staff on new products and features
• Assist in triage, investigation and resolution of product issues
• Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all technical personnel 
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years professional business experience as a project manager in an agile environment strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships successfully in a cross-functional team environment is critical for this position
• Experience in requirements gathering, product development, and testing preferred
• Well organized and able to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities with a strong sense of ownership
• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
• Professional Project Management Certification, Agile Engineering, and/or Lean Process Management certification from an accredited institution preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, methods and tools
• Extensive experience with JIRA
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
• Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams 

Work Environment

• This role reports into Forcura’s Jacksonville, FL, offices.

This position is in an office environment and uses a computer and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.  The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.  Frequent interruptions may be encountered throughout the workday.

The employee is required to either stand or sit, talk and hear frequently required to use repetitive keying or hand motions.
