Senior Software Engineer (Must be Local)

Job Summary: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a close- knit team who is responsible for feature development and maintenance of Foodsby's consumer web apps that provides customers with a world-class lunch ordering experience. You will help to shape the processes we use to write high quality code and exceptional software. You will give and receive constructive criticism. You will speak up when you notice an opportunity for improvement.

You will take enough risks that you will sometimes fail and most importantly, you will be a key player in building Foodsby with plenty of career opportunites. Your responsibilities: * Design and architect large software features * Establish best practices for triaging and systematically resolving bugs * Assist junior team members with their work * Serve as a technical expert on development projects * Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. * Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. * Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements * Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Tools: * We use Jira and Confluence to track work and share documentation * We version control with git and leverage Pull Requests for quality control and general knowledge sharing. * We rely on Slack for communication during the workday and make use of video calls for the occasional meeting. * The engineering team uses MacBook Pros. Who you are: * You have a bachelor's degree in similar field * You have 4+ years of relevant experience * You have experience shipping modern web applications (React, Vue, or Angular) * You have experience crafting REST-like APIs (Spring, Django, or .NET) * You enjoy being in the office and working with others to make technical and product decisions, but you are productive independently when need be.
