Food Sales Specialists- Salary Plus Commission - Food Distributor

OFFICE LOCATION: JERSEY CITY, NJ

We are a highly established, third generation, family-owned food distributor that has been specialists in our field for over 60 years. Located in Hudson County NJ, we are looking for EXCEPTIONAL people who possess a high energy level, are extremely self-driven with excellent people skills, can work independently with top-notch organizational skills, and are passionate about food. You will perform outside sales calling on clients such as: hospitals, nursing homes/assisted living facilities, supermarkets, grocery and convenience stores, caterers, sports and entertainment venues, schools, colleges, pharmaceutical and tech companies, hotels, and other foodservice-related businesses. Your territory may include any of the 5 Burroughs of NYC or North/Central Jersey, depending on where your residence is. The initial training will be in-house at our Jersey City offices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High comfort level dealing with people
• Cold/warm calling
• Account development and maintenance
• Prospecting and consultative sales
• Cultivating relationships
• Foodservice and/or sales experience preferred (but not required)
• High School Grad Required, College Grad Preferred
