About Food Bank of the Rockies

Founded in 1978, Food Bank of the Rockies was originally known as the Colorado Food Clearing House. Operating from a 900-square-foot schoolroom in Northwest Denver, the fledgling organization collected bread from a nearby Safeway store, our first food donor, and distributed it to Little Sisters of the Poor, our first partner agency. Today, Food Bank of the Rockies has extended its reach across Northern Colorado, providing food and supplies to more than 800 hunger-relief programs.

Food Bank of the Rockies has 200 employees at distribution centers in Denver, Wyoming, and the Western Slope.

About Wyoming Location

Food Bank of Wyoming, the largest hunger-relief organization in Wyoming, is a non-profit organization committed to ending hunger across the entire state. In fiscal year 2021, Food Bank of Wyoming together with its 160+ Hunger Relief Partners and programs including Mobile Pantries, Totes of Hope™ for kids, Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) for older adults, Culturally Responsive Food Initiative, and FRESH program - distributing fresh fruits and vegetables every month at no cost to partners - provided enough food for nearly 11 million meals to Wyomingites experiencing food insecurity.
