Foley & Mansfield, a professional limited liability partnership, is a national law firm with 140 attorneys in offices from coast to coast. We provide legal expertise, creative solutions and extensive trial experience for large corporations, small businesses, and individuals. We are seeking a self-motivated Records Clerk to support our California offices for high volume insurance defense practice. The firm is a paperless, point-of-entry, electronic records system.
Responsibilities include processing transactions from File & Serve, other court receipts, and emails and identifying the correct client matter location in the repository for saving/filing, this includes utilizing the firm’s case management system to identify the correct client/matter and related parties, then distributing the documents to the case team. The person hired for this position can work remotely, in our Monrovia office, or hybrid. Qualified candidates will possess the following: At least 5 years of legal, litigation filing experience. Asbestos filing experience a plus. Ability to identify all of the various documents and pleadings in the life cycle of a court case. Experience with electronic filing is desirable. Experience with Outlook, iManage, FileMakerPro, and File & Serve a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with all levels of the company and courts Ability to prioritize and organize high volume workload Exceptional organizational skills and superior attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
