This position will be based out of our Toronto location. The position of Jr. Technical Service Specialist is a skilled role, in which the individual is responsible to work closely with the design and production teams releasing aluminum and gasket die shapes for the purposes of manufacturing.

Liaise with various extruders and suppliers for the execution of die shapes.
Establish, Create and execute all aspects required for the release of new components into Flynn Facades custom database.
Maintain and track all new components within Flynn Facades custom database.
Understand limitations and tolerances of various aluminum shapes per Aluminum Standards.
Foresee/solve and address die shape issues as they arise
Assist the design team as required for immediate tasks on hand. Tasks may include creating and updating various instructions through the use of AutoCAD / Inventor.
Under direction of the Designer, drawing crossover samples in 3D AutoCAD / Inventor and executing the production of samples with the R&D team.
Resolve die shape issues as they arise with suppliers and the production teams.
Develop an understanding of Curtain Wall building construction and sequencing
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Post-Secondary education in Architectural or Engineering related fields
- Proficiency with the following programs:
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling
- Inventor an asset
- Microsoft Office
- Must be Self-motivated, well organized and detail oriented
- A good understanding of Building Science related topics and issues as they relate to Curtain Wall and Building Envelope design an asset.
- Proven project and team leader
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills in MS Office, Autodesk
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings
