Job Description

This position is full-time on site at Los Angeles headquarters

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Senior Management to, review, and respond to contract specifications, work statements and terms and conditions under government, commercial, or international contracts

• Assists in the preparation or evaluation of bid packages, cost proposals, participates in bidder conferences, prepare, analyze, and evaluate proposals.

• Assists Senior Management with the negotiation of contract additions, deletions, or modifications.

• Identifies and advises management regarding contract risks and coordinates external audits (DCAA, DCMA).

• As Point of Contact for various Government contracting websites manage the accounts update and access on those websites such as Sams.gov account, WAWF and DUNS listings.

• Submit Invoices on WAWF for DLA and Direct Contracts and set up Projects and enter Purchase Orders in the Infor Syteline System.

• Verify and validate accuracy of data entered in Infor Syteline.

• Ensures contracts and subcontracts are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR) and Truth in Negotiation Act (TINA), and comply with contractual terms and conditions.

• Develop company contract and subcontract policies and procedures.

• Ensure contracts are executed in compliance with customer and contract requirements.

• Assists Senior Management in preparation of non-disclosure, teaming and supply agreements.

• Manage contract activities, budgeting, tracking status, maintaining contract files, interface with government and industry customers.

• Prepare various financial analysis and statements as required.

• Playing a key role in shaping the future of FLYER Defense through capturing follow-on and new business as well as maintaining and growing current programs.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 8 years experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts with Government, commercial, and international customers.

• Five years’ experience with CAS compliance contractual requirements is required.

• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS and other customer Regulations and Supplements.

• Knowledge and understanding of FAR, DFARS and DCAA accounting guidelines/procedures. and the US contract law and other customer Regulations and Supplements.

• Strong knowledge of DCAA Cost Principles, Provisional Indirect Rates and Incurred Cost Proposals.

• Experience with Cost Plus Type Contracts (CPAF, CPFF, T&M, LH, etc.).

• Experience with International Contract Law and ITAR.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent ability to work within a team, fostering teamwork and trust with both external and internal customers.

• Customer interface and negotiation experience.

• Excellent ability to develop and maintain customer relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness, and ethical conduct.

• Highly motivated; must be proactive and work independently with minimal oversight.

• Prefer candidate has ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.


Required Education:
BS/BA in Business or a related field.

Desired Education:
Advanced degree in Business (MBA) or a related field.
