This position reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for reviewing engineering documents to implement and execute commissioning practices, tools, techniques, and programs in accordance with the project specifications/contract.
Work is performed under general supervision and exercises delegated judgment.
Participate in providing a planned, documented, and managed construction approach to the turnover for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final hand-over of facilities, systems, and equipment to the client
Prepare project specific written Commissioning Plan
Verify and document that equipment is installed and started per manufacturer's recommendations, industry accepted minimum standards, and the contract
Verify and document that equipment and systems receive complete operational checkout by installing contractors
Verify and document equipment and system performance
Verify the completeness of the Operations and Maintenance materials
Ensure that the operating personnel are adequately trained on the operation and maintenance of the building equipment
Commission equipment in the following systems: UPS, Diesel Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch, HVAC System, DDC System, and Switchgear Lineups
Confirm effective application of all strategic commissioning tools, techniques and programs
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet deadlines
Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
