Job Summary

FIU Online is currently seeking a Design Support Representative to join the Learning Design Team in assisting with the development and delivery of online courses.


Duties to include:

  • Works on faculty and instructional designer requests, at the direction of the Instructional Design Manager, for general course updates or
  • maintenance that do not require major changes in course design.
  • Performs testing and quality assurance of the courses assigned.
  • Provides customer service help desk support to faculty.
  • Assists in creating performance support materials (job aids, instructor tips, etc.) for instructors.
  • Works with relevant specialized software programs.

  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm 

20 hours per week
