Floravere is hiring a full-time Production Tsar to make magic with numbers and push the needle on all production and operations tasks.

ABOUT YOU

You are a proactive Solutions Creator, and often the first one to spot the problems that need solving. You are a cost center hub and Excel wizard – passionate about tracking metrics, and cutting operational spend. You are always willing to jump in and assist with projects and tasks that “aren’t your job,” understanding that working for a start-up can mean wearing multiple hats at times, and welcoming the opportunity to support the team cross-functionally.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an apparel or consumer products company, in a relevant department.
  • Experience with importing commercial products from overseas.
  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to travel during the work day.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Dropbox, Google Drive.
  • Prior use and proficiency with ApparelMagic and Shopify.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Made-To-Order Production Coordination: Submit all final gown orders and shepherd them through the production process, acting as the coordinator that ensures all final gown orders are created and delivered correctly and on time from the factory. (ApparelMagic ERP system) Maintain constant communication with the factory to ensure their needs are being met. This may include and not be limited to: approving fabric shipment samples to ensure color accuracy, making sure all materials and trims have been sourced and approved by the Design team, coordinating with the Design Team to ship samples or patterns to the factory, confirming with Product Manager that all PP/TOP samples were approved so that production can begin, etc.

Bulk Domestic Production Coordination: Oversee bulk production orders placed with domestic vendors, starting from hand off of approved TOP samples from the Design Team. Receive cut ticket from Product Manager and create PO’s for all materials/trims needed for production. Ensure all materials are delivered to the factory on time for the production start date. Once production is complete, coordinate the transfer of finished products from the factory to the 3PL warehouse for fulfillment.

Bulk Overseas Production Coordination: Oversee bulk production orders placed with overseas vendors for import production (showroom samples or e-comm inventory), starting from approval of TOP samples by the Design Team. Receive cut ticket from Product Manager and coordinate with the factory to have the items produced and shipped with in the accepted timeline. Set up the 3PL warehouse for fulfillment of these items if they are B2C sellable inventory, otherwise coordinate with the factory to ship them direct to showrooms if they are B2B samples.

Made-to-Order Receiving & Fulfillment: Coordinate with the 3PL warehouse to ensure final gowns are being received, QC’d, repackaged, and shipped to customers on or before the delivery date. Solely responsible for creating packaging standards per item type, and managing inventory levels of packaging materials. Oversee resolution of final-gown issues if the company is found to be at fault for shipped damaged merchandise to a customer (includes: dry cleaning, alterations/repairs, escalation of larger issues to Product Manager to asses and approve of re-cuts or replacements)

E-comm Fulfillment: Coordinate with the 3PL warehouse to ensure e-comm orders are being fulfilled within the accepted timeline. Solely responsible for creating packaging standards per item type and managing stock of packaging materials.

Bulk Samples Receiving & Fulfillment: Manage the factory timeline for new showroom sample inventory units. Coordinate the shipping of units from overseas factories to domestic showroom destinations. Consolidate shipments wherever possible to reduce costs.

Sample Coordination: Manage the centralized tracking system of all sample inventory, as updated by lead stylists in each city. (Cheqroom system) Coordinate monthly cleaning or repairs send out – with all showrooms.

Ops Dashboard Upkeep: Create a system for tracking monthly metrics such as: # of gowns received, # of gowns fulfilled, # of e-comm orders fulfilled, # of returns, # of final gown issues, # of samples received, etc. Report findings weekly/monthly during Ops meetings and immediately call out any negative patterns or red flags. Be proactive at offering solutions.

Costs Management: Create monthly Fedex expenses round up, proposing solutions to reduce shipments / costs, and flagging any potential Fedex errors. Manage all issued P.O.’s, creating a details AP record, and working with accounting to ensure Vendor Invoices are verified, approved by the responsible party, and then paid out within the due terms by accounting. Have experience with import production including: freight forwarding, duties and customs calculations, and work on consolidating and lowering costs.

Data Management: Maintain the Collection “Bible” updating as necessary if styles are cancelled, prices are changed, or new styles are launched. Maintain the SKU Database, ensuring information is accurately reflected. Maintain the ApparelMagic product catalog, ensure all components and costing is accurate. Maintain the Shopify catalog and back-end available inventory, which should be automatically sync’d with ApparelMagic.

Various Projects: Be willing and able to assist with ad-hoc projects and administrative or operational tasks.

EXPECTATIONS:

Strategic leadership: ability to operate strategically at 50K feet but also tactically at 5 feet. Ability to drive projects forward independently and bring the vision of the next generation supply chain operation to life.

Organizational excellence: Have a meticulous eye for detail and commitment to zero defect work, creating organizational systems and checks/processes to catch human error and streamline + optimize internal processes.

Full accountability and results–orientation: Set clear targets and deadlines and work effectively to meet them.

Outstanding work ethic: Ability to exude a deeply embedded entrepreneurial spirit, loves the hustle, and doesn't do "the 9-5" - you are unafraid of challenges and are willing to roll up your sleeves and do the hard work.

This is a full-time role based in our Los Angeles HQ in Hollywood, with the freedom to work from home at your preference, on days that you are not visiting our factories, 3PL warehouse, or attending meetings at HQ.
