Shipping / Receiving Clerk

The shipping and receiving department at Flint Hydraulics plays a vital role in achieving our company-wide goal of excellence in customer service. Since our clients are located worldwide and expect same or next-day shipments, the work is fast-paced and requires strict attention to detail. The shipping/receiving clerk serves as a gatekeeper for all inventory items that enter or leave our facility, catching errors and streamlining processes, thereby ensuring that we always exceed our customers’ expectations.

We are looking for an experienced, hard worker with the knowledge and drive to eventually become the lead individual in our shipping/receiving department. Flint Hydraulics offers competitive wages commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision and life insurance, paid vacation, 60-minute lunch period, and an air-conditioned work environment. Normal hours for the shipping/receiving clerk are 9 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work required. The ability to leave daily at 6 pm is not guaranteed but dependent on shipping schedules. Requirements of this position include:

Ability to properly, safely and securely package outbound material and freight
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Ability to paint hydraulic pumps and motors
Ability to unpack, count and correctly receive in-bound freight and shipments
Ability to accurately document all freight (inbound/outbound small package and LTL freight)
Ability to maintain accurate inventory counts of packaging materials (boxes, tape, staples, etc.)
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Experience with international shipping and paperwork (NAFTA, COO, SED, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with UPS WorldShip/Crossware
Ability to correctly and efficiently complete BOL for outbound shipments
Detail oriented, team oriented, quick learner, ability to multi-task effectively
Forklift certified
