Job Description
General Description
The HRIS & Data Analyst will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and legal compliance. The HRIS & Data Analyst will also perform system support functions to assist users with configuration, functionality and troubleshooting issues.
 
 
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the HRIS and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, engagement, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Prepares management reports of data results and develops management dashboard in the HRIS for tracking of key metrics.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
  • May conduct or assist with conducting data audits/validation to ensure data integrity and maintain legal compliance such as but not limited to data privacy regulations.
  • Performs system support functions by assisting with system configurations, upgrades, optimization, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications   
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws relating to employment and HR policies
  • Strong Analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and other common office software
  • Experience and proficiency with Workday as the HRIS and payroll system
  • At least three years of experience in related areas such as job classification and compensation, recruitment, selection, training, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
  • Experience with Workday HRIS system reporting
