Job Description

Flexshopper is seeking a Business Analyst who will work under the supervision and direction of the Project Management Office (PMO). The PM Business Analyst will undertake a variety of business analytics and project management tasks. They will contribute in planning and organization of important operational initiatives. The role will focus primarily on B2B partnerships with some oversight on internal projects.

Position Summary: The Business Analyst - PMO will facilitate the ongoing analysis, development, and improvement of our business services under the supervision of the Manager, PMO, key members of the Operations team, and other stakeholders. The Business Analyst will be responsible for turning data into actionable information with which they will make business insights that will result in beneficial business decisions. Business analyst responsibilities include supporting PMO and Operations via reporting and optimization recommendations, fulfilling business improvement requests, providing client performance insights, and completing ad hoc projects. The Business Analysts main purpose is to identify, develop and redefine internal success indicators to drive the business forward. This is a full-time onsite position in our Boca Raton, FL office.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads significant business analysis efforts and improving the overall impact of requirements in support of critical enterprise projects and programs
  • Serves as primary contact between key business leaders/ stakeholders and technology to ensure requirements are delivered on time and in a comprehensive, quality manner
  • Responsible for working with key business and IT stakeholders to analyze business needs and document/manage requirements for large, complex, enterprise projects or programs
  • Identifies and document the needs of customers, frontline associates, and key business partners, including identifying impacts to policies, procedures, and controls
  • Assists with the analysis of impacts of proposed technology solutions on existing business and operational processes
  • Provides input to buy vs. build decisions based on input received from the business and functions within technology
  • Conducts research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business
  • Elicits requirements using facilitation techniques, including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis
  • Develops business scenarios/use cases to explain and demonstrate business requirements specifications to business stakeholders and the technology team
  • Develops and manages the requirements traceability process from requirements through to testing with appropriate gap analysis to ensure requirements meet the needs of the business
  • Leads User Acceptance Test (UAT) teams to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test plans, ensure that the proper testing plans have been reviewed and meet the business and technology testing needs
  • Maintains continuity between business team and IS organization throughout complete system development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Contributes to user guides, reference manuals and training materials as appropriate

Preferred and/or Required Education, Experience and Technical Skills:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • At least two (2) years experience in business or systems analysis ideally in the fintech, financial services or retail industry
  • Understand the software life cycle and the specification and configuration of software products
  • Process-driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods
  • Experience with Use Case and scenario-based process documentation techniques
  • Proficiency with requirements based on a waterfall project delivery methodology. Agile requirements experience a definite plus
  • Must be self-directed, results-oriented coupled with strong attention to detail, strong people skills and good judgment
  • Must be able to focus and prioritize effectively to complete his/her work in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves to execute a robust pipeline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, and presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), and competent data visualization (Tableau, mapping programs)

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. This position is a full-time onsite position that may be based out of either the Boca Raton, FL or Atlanta, GA offices. Depending on your location, travel to our headquarters in Boca Raton may be required up to once a quarter based on business need.
