Summary: This position serves primarily to support outside sales representatives by performing tasks associated with quotes, follow-up, order processing, and customer relationship building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card, aged leads, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Makes outbound follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services. Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales. Emphasizes salable features and quotes prices.
Builds and maintains customer relationships.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
Generates quotes and any follow-up documents related to outside sales representatives’ customer visits. Completes research on parts and systems as necessary.

Experience: Three years or more experience in customer service and/or sales support; business degree strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of QuickBooks; Microsoft Outlook Contact Management systems; Microsoft Excel Database software; Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Word Processing software. SalesForce would be helpful but not required.
