Education/Experience: Associates degree in programming/databases or equivalent work experience. Primary functions will be working with databases (SQL Server, AS400) and programmatically extracting/inserting information. Strong understanding of databases & programming in modern languages required. Experience/understanding of AS400, RPG, a bonus.

Experience: SQL Server, C# (C-Sharp), Java, PHP, Python, basic understanding of networking/windows server.
The Programmer / Developer’s primary function will developmental projects including reporting, database integration, & programmatic changes to support all facets of the company. S/he will also be responsible for documentation of our systems, including database tables & relations. Additionally s/he will include tier 1 support to users for issues with our systems including TMS, TMT, Financial, etc.
1. Performs a variety of duties to support IT development needs as illustrated by the following:
a) Constructs, manages, administrates AS400 to meet company needs.
b) Develops new & modifies existing reports to support various departments’ needs.
c) Develops new & modifies existing programs to support various departments’ needs.
d) Supports users who experience issues with usage of company systems & services.
e) Document database tables, relationships, & assist in synchronization & design.
f) Develops emerging technologies including but not limited to: web-based applications, corporate intranet, external websites, mobile applications.
g) Performs system administration of SQL Server, AS400, other systems as outlined by management.
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit or
department as well as with other units and departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures
designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
4. Cooperates with, participates in and supports the adherence to all

5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested,
or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Company personnel.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area or to request from
customer, other Company personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
