This is an incredible time of growth for Fizz, and the Assistant General Manager will play a key role towards achieving our vision of #champagne4all. Reporting directly to Chief Champagne Officer (CCO) Raymond James Irwin, the AGM will be involved in all day-to-day operations of the Fizz the bar and Fizz the wine club.
Fizz’s successful AGM will be passionate about champagne, the clientele, the art of service, and should be a born salesperson. You will innately have the desire to put on a show every time you are at Fizz because in this role, you are so much more than a manager but seen as the champagne expert - a Co-Director. Guests will come in to see you because they trust your opinion and your palate.
Not only will you be Co-Director of a bar but you will be able to Co-Direct a more than 400 person champagne monthly subscription club. You will be directly involved in retention, growing and upselling the club. Your leadership, knowledge, and passion for the product will ensure the success of the club and is paramount to this role.
The AGM should be extremely detail oriented, highly engaging, revenue driven, make decisions quickly, collaborate in a team environment, and exhibit superior customer service skills. Most importantly, the AGM must have a passion for wine and champagne and a desire to constantly learn. You will be the gatekeeper to more than 125 different champagnes by the bottle.
The AGM’s compensation package will include hourly, overtime, bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Retaining key champagne knowledge (sommelier service), Scheduling, Hiring, Training, Updating menus, Wine Lists, Flight Mats, Inventory, Ordering, Planning wine dinners, hosting clientele.
