Five Star Valet www.5starvalet.com, is seeking a Director of Operations that will be responsible for managing day-to-day valet parking operations in Southwest Florida based in our Naples corporate office.

They will uphold 5 Star Valet's high standards for luxury valet parking while assisting the Vice President in managing the 60+ client accounts and up to 200 valet attendants. Primary responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, staff management, client/location management and client relations.

Our ideal Operations Manager will have at least 5 years experience in the valet parking industry along with 5 years directly managing employees. They will be an effective communicator and have the ability to learn quickly, work independently and have a strong dedication to accuracy. They will be comfortable multi-tasking and delegating to fulfil the needs of a large portfolio of client accounts and employees. Above all, they must be dedicated to upholding our luxury service standards at all times.

Compensation:
$65,000 salary plus $10,000 incentive based on performance
Willing to offer relocation assistance for the right candidate

Essential Qualifications:
5 years or more experience working in the valet parking industry
5 years or more experience managing employees
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration preferred, but not required
Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, excellent driving record and pass a background and DMV check
Experience working proficiently with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows and the proven ability to learn new computer software programs quickly
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, patrons and management with English language proficiency
Critical thinker that can ascertain the needs of the business and recommend a course of action to the executive team
Proven history of successful delegation to subordinates
Understands and exemplifies the luxury hospitality market
Responsibilities:
Leads day-to-day business operations including client communications and preparation and building of weekly staff schedule
Recruits, hires, and manages supervisors and staff; orienting, educating, training, rewarding, conducting staff reviews and disciplining as necessary.
Uses professional and respectful communication skills at all times to effectively communicate with clients, management and staff
Communicate with leads and staff via text, phone and in person to explain policy/practice changes, schedule changes, confirming private event details and communicating proper uniforms with staff and other work-related matters
Makes rounds to valet sites to assure that policies and procedures are properly followed.
Maintains current knowledge of:
Scheduled daily activities
Features and services provided by the company
Hours of operation of each account
Parking facilities, layout, hours of operation, charges & procedures
Participates in weekly management meetings and necessary client meetings
Provides daily direction and supervision to assigned locations.
Handles client issues (accidents, lost keys, etc.).
Prepares site plans, Excel spreadsheets, and location descriptions.
Makes site visits to new/current locations to ensure proper logistics.
Reviews car audits to assure proper staffing levels are maintained.
Continually evaluates and assesses current operating practices and processes to improve safety and reduce accidents.
Continually reviews returning seasonal employees
Conduct quality checks such as secret shopper, shadowing employees on the job, on the job training, mentoring
Serve as a resource person for other valets, answer operational and procedural questions
Monitor all parking areas/levels; report any vehicle/safety hazards; unauthorized personnel or potential security problems to designated person
Follow designated procedures for vehicle accidents, breakdowns and incidents
Assist in office with miscellaneous tasks as needed
Report back to executive team on a consistent basis to ensure prompt action and proper communication at all times
Gets shifts covered as needed including swaps, additions, pop ups, changes, etc.
Ensures all processes for the valet job are established, implemented and maintained in order to comply with the company's standards and procedures
Create and maintain updated inventory of valet equipment, move equipment from one valet location to another, set up and break down for private events/parties including morning events
Prepares operating reports as required
Skills and Attributes:
Knowledge of successful Valet Parking business practices.
Solid experience in supervision and scheduling of staff, payroll processing, problem solving, and implementing client contract needs.

Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints.
Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to top management and clients.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and business operations.
Physical Requirements
Ability to meet all physical expectations of valet parking to include:
RUN or JOG to work assignments
Stand for long periods of time (5-6 hours)
Bend, squat, lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds (signs, podium, wheelchairs, etc)
Work in all weather conditions heat, wind, rain
Ability to drive manual transmission preferred
Grooming Standards:
No visible tattoos (must be covered with clothing, sweatbands or Band-Aids)
Hair to be clean and well groomed. For males, length no longer than 1 / 2 inches above collar. No extreme hair styles
No visible piercings. No earrings for male employees
No beards. Mustaches neat and well-groomed and not to extend past corners of mouth
Sideburns no longer than midpoint on ear
