***POSITION IS LOCATED IN NASHVILLE, TN***

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on team building to inspire, motivate others, and engage their commitment to meet the needs of our customers and deliver a high-quality professional environmental consulting service.
  • Lead, create, develop, and maintain the Nashville office Environmental strategic plan for growth that will lead the office to success and brand Fisher Arnold as a provider of choice for Environmental services.
  • Lead and implement Environmental business development strategy in the Nashville area
  • Lead a new Environmental Department in the Nashville office by developing and building a robust, efficient, productive team of staff members that are adequately utilized and effective.
  • Manage the day to day efforts in satisfying all project, client, and employee needs and expectations.
  • Manage all project scopes, fees, contracts, billing reviews, invoicing, and accounts receivables.
  • Manage the Nashville Environmental Department office staff Evaluations, Compensation, and Incentive Program.
  • Be involved in community activities, such as committees and boards, to build a network and presence as a leader in the area.
  • Collaborate with the Fisher Arnold Environmental leadership team to ensure consistency in the overall company strategic plan.
  • Senior Environmental Resource with FA, assisting Site Assessment and Characterization, Environmental turnkey projects, Regulatory Interface, and projects as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education and Professional Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the Environmental Sciences, Geology, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Professional licensure in the state of Tennessee and the ability to become licensed in additional states.
  • Credential such as CHMM, PG, PE, CIH preferred (or ability to secure certification)

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience as an Environmental Project Manager, Team Manager, and Team Leader, having worked with multiple environmental projects and numerous clients in both the public and private sectors.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-faceted environment.
  • 10 years (minimum) of professional environmental consulting experience, requiring significant, independent responsibility.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to unforeseen demands from new situations.
  • Ability to immediately inspire and gain the confidence of leadership and management through the thoroughness of knowledge and timely response to needs and information.
  • Strong people skills for collaboration, coaching, business development, and relationship building purposes.
  • Determination to become better, always looking for ways to improve.
  • Ability to see the big picture but be able to pay attention to detail.
  • Be prepared to travel occasionally.
