FirstXFounder (formerly DesignTechnologies LLC),founded 2008, supports first time founders of life science companies of any stage in three competitive entry accelerator programs ABCT, WCBA, and Next Milestone, and the Master Class series, ELabNYC. Over $2.3B has been collectively raised by 500 program alums delivering the largest pipeline of ventures into Metro area incubators, creating 1,000 new jobs, and helping build the regional ecosystem. FirstXFounder scours the community for innovators and rigorously screens ventures to join the 150 annual business education workshops and personalized networking activities to support commercialization of high impact innovations. Hundreds of practicing domain expert business mentors, successful founder coaches, domain leading corporate supporters and government economic development innovation leaders are supported by a founder-focused team, working in partnership to advance pioneers in drug discovery, medtech, healthtech, and materials. We seek a Program Manager to join our team to lead the Westchester County Bioscience Accelerator program (WCBA) and the ELabNYC Master Class program.

WCBA, initiated in 2019 and now in its 4th year delivers business education and networking opportunities to an annual cohort of 12 life sciences ventures to commercially advance their ventures. ELabNYC re launched in 2022 is a series of Master Classes with networking opportunities for graduates of accelerator programs. The ideal candidate will re-envision both WCBA and ELabNYC, charting 2.0 models for each reflecting new technology, funding models and players, human resources, regulatory, manufacturing and delivery trends in the life science industry. After 10 years of successful delivery, FirstXFounder seeks to evolve program recruiting, curriculum, mentorship, corporate support and program delivery, and redefining engagement with alums, mentors, corporate supporters, municipal government leaders, universities and other community stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible to manage the day-to-day activities of the program, including P&L, supporting the client strategic direction, and pursuing new opportunities to provide programming and networking for cohort and alums. Responsible for business building and new partnerships acquisition Identify, recruit screen with alums, mentors, municipalities, universities, and program team outreach to prospective ventures to secure the top 12 ventures to WCBA inclusive of overseas ventures seeking to relocate to the Metro NY area. Responsible for all planning and implementation of all programs’ events including acting as point of contact for all speakers, venture cohort members, alums, current and prospective corporate supporters, mentors, government officials and education organizations meeting physical and electronic security requirements for all stakeholders Develop and deliver curriculum and business network opportunities including information sessions, webinars, workshops, masterclasses, stakeholder gatherings, bootcamp education, professional networking, roundtables, and Annual Pitch Event. Identify communications requirements for programs including websites and develop, in collaboration with team and community, program materials for outreach, education and networking events, and ensure timely distribution in written and digital secure forms Manage communications with venture cohort members, mentors, corporate supporters, coaches and team (e.g., program updates, event reminders, calendar invitations) Identify and recommend strategic opportunities to provide measurable progress and outcomes for the program and ventures integrating best practices Identify and attend key events to meet with program stakeholders Identify requirements for and coordinate with business data analysts to gather information on program activities, collaborate to develop Impact reports and recommend improvements to program to improve impact for stakeholders May perform additional projects upon request assisting the team with other urgent and/or ad hoc projects, reports, and presentations. Requirements Required Qualifications - Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in program management (virtual, hybrid and in-person) Previous experience in program or project management with demonstrated success delivering acceleration Experience in bio science startup, fund, incubator or accelerator, professional learning, and/or networking organizations Previous experience managing teams Ability to write, edit and communicate concisely and convincingly with C-Suite executives, researchers, government officials, academic administrators from the life science community. Adept in key online event platforms: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Google Meet, Zoho Meeting, and ability to match event requirements with optimal platform.

Experience in customer support of attendees in use of event platforms. Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Office 365 Business, SharePoint, Zoho CRM, Calendly, Eventbrite, LMS, Social Media platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout). Experience with life science professionals and/or academics preferred Required Skills and Abilities Proven leadership skills with a continuous improvement mindset Outstanding organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
