Server/Waitstaff

Gilded Acorn at The First National Center is seeking Servers to join our team!

The primary responsibilities of the Server involve exemplary customer service to guests.Servers will also be responsible for table and counter service.

Gilded Acorn will provide opportunities for barista training. No barista experience is required, but we ask that you come with a passion for learning everything coffee. Servers must be over the age of 21 to work at our champagne bar and provide this service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain the dining area (this includes the expo station)
• Clean and maintain coffee, bar, and counter stations
• Cash register capabilities
• Assist guests in paying, receiving, and delivering purchase(s)
• Answer all incoming calls
• Adhere to dress code
• Coordinating with kitchen staff
• Detailing and cleaning
• Serving food
• Creating lattes and other artforms of coffee (barista training)
• Champagne service (must be over the age of 21)
• Bussing tables
• Performs all duties assigned by the Manager
• Performs work area clean up and safety related duties
• Effective communication throughout shifts.
• Takes instructions from supervisor

• Wine key
• Ovens
• Ranges and ventilation
• Food processors
• Mixers
• Slicers
• Food prep counters and cutting boards
• Freezers and refrigerators
• Safety equipment

License Requirements:

• Food Handlers
• Liquor License *We will provide instruction to obtain these certifications*

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work a minimum of 35 hours per week
• Can stand and walk or sit depending on specific needs of the day. Estimate 95% of time is spent on feet
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multi-task
• Ability to lift 25-50 Lbs.
• Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Have occasional need to perform the following physical activities:
  • Bend/stoop/squat
  • Reach over your shoulder
  • Grasp/grip/turn machinery to perform daily tasks
  • Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner
