A Day in the life of a Member Service Representative II
As a Member Service Representative, you directly contribute to the success of our credit union by providing our members with high-quality customer service. You conduct both basic and complex transactions, including deposits, transfers, withdrawals, payments, stop payments, payroll set up, and opening or closing accounts. When engaging with members, you take care to understand their financial needs as well as make recommendations for appropriate products and services that help them make the most effective use of what we offer.
In addition, you will use various sales techniques to meet established individual and group sales goals. At times, you attend off-site events for business development opportunities to increase membership at our credit union. You make outbound calls to members regarding outstanding loan approvals, various products or services, and to get feedback on their experience with our financial institution. To stay up to date on any changes, you actively participate in self-development education programs as well as compliance courses through our training department and digital university. You enjoy having a job where you get to help people fulfill their financial goals while growing a successful career in banking!

What you will bring:
Minimum of six months experience working as a MSR I, or related position in a financial institution
Bilingual a plus
A passion for sales
Knowledge of general banking regulations and credit union policies and procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and using the web
Enthusiastic communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work with limited supervision and exercise judgement
Basic knowledge of sales techniques
Available to travel to other branches and off-site company events when required
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of the position require being able to stand for up to eight (8) hours per day, lift items weighing an estimated 5-10lbs or more and perform repetitive hand movements on a keyboard.
