The primary role of this position is completing preconstruction plan and cost reviews of construction projects for lenders.
Responsibilities include evaluation of various construction documents to identify any potential risks for the project and completing corresponding report. Typical construction documents reviewed include plans/specs, detailed cost breakdown, contracts, schedule, land title survey, geotechnical investigation, phase 1/2, and other various documentation. Role is to evaluate the general appropriateness of the already prepared documents. Final output will be a single PDF report utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word. Some correspondence with development team to clarify project details.
Required skills include Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to read construction blueprints; and technical writing skills. Ideal professions include general contractor, construction manager, geotechnical engineer, engineers, estimators, and architects. Salary negotiable based on experience.
