The Bank Secrecy Act Analyst performs monitoring of daily BSA-related bank functions to measure conformity and adherence with all applicable BSA/AML laws and regulations, performs a variety of routine daily tasks, prepares CTR reporting and correspondence, participates in special department projects, and assists the BSA Officer as needed. Responsibilities include reviewing CTRs daily, preparing CTRs for e-filing, conducting OFAC verifications, monitoring customer transactions, and assisting in investigation and preparation of suspicious activity cases and writing narrative summary of findings to report to the BSA Officer.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or other management related field desired but not required. Prior two to four years experience in a compliance environment including BSA/AML transaction monitoring. Proficiency in computer applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Access). Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essential, along with the willingness to take the initiative to get things done. Strong proofreading skills and aptitude for high degree of precision in all work. High level of personal integrity and energy. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material. Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
