Inventory Specialist

The Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist will report to the Account Manager and serve a large growing local customer base.  This will include weekly site visits to manage, count and replenish inventory needs.  The objective will be to continually improve inventory organization, pre-implementation and implementation processes through our Vendor Managed Inventory program. The VMI Specialist will work closely with our customer to assist in end-user training and activities related to vendor managed solutions.  The VMI Specialist must be knowledgeable and always follow required safety protocol while within our customer facility.

Responsibilities:

• Execute proper counting, order generation and machine/shelf stocking duties.
• Assistance filling/managing vending machines
• Occasionally perform machine maintenance at the customer's site
• Implement customer inventory projects
• Occasionally perform data collection at the customer's site for growth opportunities.
• Assist customers with staging, labeling, and organizing product at a customer site.
• Actively listens, ask questions, effectively communicates, and fully engages to provide the best customer experience.
• Positively represent First Choice Distribution and act professionally and safely at all times
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience in customer service or warehouse environment
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Technical skills and experience solving problems
• Background checks, drug screening may be required (as warranted by Company, customer, or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment)
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license in State of residence

This position is based at in Gaylord, MN. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
