MINISTRY POSITIONPosition Title: Video EditorDepartment: MediaClassification: Salary - ExemptDirect Report: Director of MediaPOSITION SUMMARYWe are in search of someone with a keen sense of detail who enjoys and knows how to bring a concept or script to life through motion video and sound to join our FBA Media team. You will be responsible for the assemble, review, and edit of recorded audio and visual footage and using computer software to organize clips into a cohesive unit. This includes splitting or combining video clips, adding appropriate sounds or graphics, extract miscues and convert them into finished products innovatively before submitting for review. You will play an important role in the success of our production team as our videos are one of the best ways of communicating FBAs message.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSInput quality effects, graphics, dialogue, and music into videos to enhance visual appeal as it relates to video and oversee continuous improvement.

• Insert music and necessary sound effects to video clips and condense footage and final edits to be presented in an appropriate and appealing format to align with key themes.
• Keep current with new technology, equipment and programs that enables the discovery and implementation of new techniques and methods to maximize consistency, creativity, and excellence.
• Manage to work both on-site and off-site locations.
• Monitor all technical aspects of recording and editing.
• Perform other duties as workload necessitates.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate must have a growing and mature, demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications, Media, Visual Art, Film, Television, Multimedia or Graphic Design or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment working with graphics, sound, digital editing tools and video.
• Proficiency and experience in working with film and video and training in video production and editing software programs, such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe CC including Premier, After Effects and Photoshop, are extremely helpful.
• Enhanced knowledge of file organization and conversion.
• Professional experience of audio and video tape editing and post-production, procedure techniques and standards.
• Knowledge of audio and video tape storage and archiving procedures.
• Knowledge of staging techniques, facilities, and equipment.
• Creative decision-making skills to organize resources and establish priorities.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
• Clear and frequent communication and collaboration with team members and Director of Media from production to post-production processes.
• Ministry-minded focus with the ability to cultivate a team spirit with strong and interpersonal skills and to work effectively within the Creative Services and Media ministries and the church.
• High level of interpersonal and relationship skills essential when working with ministry departments and staff members.
• Effective problem analysis and resolution skills.

MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONEmployees of the Church are called to spread the Word of God; you are also charged with conveying the Churchs message and values to all its constituents and thus carrying out its mission. Because of this paramount charge, you are required to pray with Church members whenever appropriate, instruct them how to do so in a Biblically inspired manner when necessary, and contribute substantively to the Churchs ministry, conveying its understanding of the Word of God to all those who seek it. The overarching purpose and mission of the Church is to spread the Churchs understanding of the Word of God embodied by the Holy Scripture.
