Reporting to the Vice President of Global Products, the Product Manager is responsible for developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, operational readiness and enabling the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently with existing and new products.

This position is responsible for coordinating product development and delivery through all sales organizations within First American. The Product Manager interacts with customers to understand product requirements clearly with the ability to analyze and coordinate product related activities to meet or exceed customer needs. The ideal candidate will have the technical skills to analyze and assist in new product development and enhancements. The Product Manager will learn the product feature and functionality sets, perform and/or coordinate internal and partner training, gather feedback and prioritize enhancements to the product, validate internal process flows are completed for product launch, prepare go-to-market strategy, and monitor post launch activities to ensure product success by utilization and return on investment.

The Product Manager will be a key component in the overall success of the product by socializing across all sales channels the product roadmap, strategy, development release, and product launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Becomes Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product suite
  • Prepare product launch and commercialization documentation
  • Analyze and coordinate product related activities to meet or exceed customer needs
  • Collaborates with Marketing for product collateral and sales kits relating to product
  • Is knowledgeable of new products and trends within the market.
  • Prepares product development and enhancement documentation in an agile practice
  • Tracks and presents product KPI and metrics
  • Collaborates with operational teams to ensure operational readiness for new product launch and enhancement releases
  • Socialize product roadmap, strategy, and enhancements across all sales channels
  • Implement process improvements to achieve product quality and productivity
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to document end-to-end process from initiation to launch to support full product commercialization
  • Analytic skills to create matrix and comparison documentation
  • Excellent ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Exercises exceptional listening skills to gather information, handle complaints and record call statistics
  • Ability to develop rapport with Client Management and Partners and maintain strong working relationships

Education and/or Experience required for the position:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
