Service Technician (Entry-Level)
Are you good with tools and do you like “fixing things”? Are you a natural problem-solver who is looking for a career that makes a difference and not just a job? If so, check out Fireline Corporation—we are seeking positive, reliable Fire Protection System Technicians to join our team!
For this position, you’ll perform the service of fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems in restaurants and commercial kitchens. You’ll be responsible for ensuring quality work and providing top customer service, while helping us develop a culture that is friendly, productive and promotes teamwork.
This will be an exceptional, entry-level opportunity for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. At Fireline, you’ll find more than just a job. Here, you’ll be able to learn a trade and build a career in a family-oriented work environment, all while saving lives and being supported to reach your full potential.
What we’re looking for…
You will be a great fit for this role if you are good with hand tools and measuring. We also want to meet you if you have prior experience working in construction. To be qualified, you must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. You must also be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Technicians often work indoors and outdoors, so you must be comfortable working in different environments. Also, this position will require the ability to read, speak, sit, stand, walk, use your hands, reach, climb ladders and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Mostly importantly, you must be able to:
- Show a commitment to quality and a sense of responsibility for safety and the protection of life and property.
- Be punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic and a great attitude.
- Treat all co‐workers with respect and empathy at all times.
- Work closely and effectively with other team members to meet goals.
- Communicate effectively with managers, customers and peers.
- Be willing to learn, pick up on technical things quickly, and know when to ask for help.
- Use your time effectively and efficiently.
- Pursue your tasks with energy, drive, and a need to finish, especially in the face of challenges.
