The Quality Control Technician is an integral part of our field teams. With full-service concrete being a large part of our business, it is pertinent to produce quality concrete work. Working with field staff and Project Management teams, the Quality Control Technician will ensure the integrity of our concrete pours and slabs. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities for this position.


Five Key Roles of the Quality Control Technician:

  • Perform field testing, observations, and inspections of concrete and rebar.
  • Communicate with the project team regarding project requirements, observations, and corrective actions.
  • Document field testing and observations utilizing Procore and Prime Quality programs.
  • Review Civil, Structural, and Architectural plans and specifications to develop quality checklist.
  • Check and collect concrete tickets to ensure correct mixes are being used as well as general compliance with ACI requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify construction field use plans and specifications are current.
  • Assure that the quality of materials and services meet contract requirements
  • Ensure appropriate training/certifications, capacity, and equipment to perform to the contract specifications are being used.
  • Check anchor bolt/embeds for accuracy.
  • Maintain anchor bolts and embeds inventory.
  • Assist with mass concrete meter installation
  • Responsible for completing detailed and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and periodic reporting that is required per the project’s Quality Assurance (QA) Plan



Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in related field
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I (Preferred)
  • Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector through ICC (Preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience with concrete and grading
  • Experience reading blueprints/plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices and industry standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel


Travel may be required for this position as the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F&B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.

Work Environment:

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings. (All PPE will be provided)
