Favor TechConsulting, LLC (FTC) is seeking a Sr. Academic Administrator with extensive Air Force Medical Support Agency (AFMSA) – Defense Institute for Medical Operations (DIMO) program experience.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Senior Academic Administrator Services:

  • Provide Research & Development Executive Support to include use of specific technical knowledge and analysis capabilities to prepare, present, and coordinate knowledge with/to senior Air Force leaders, Office of Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (OSDHA), Air Force Surgeon General, Major Commands (MAJCOMS), foreign Government civilians and military representatives, and other federal Government agencies.
  • Provide recommendations to DIMO leadership in the development, coordination and execution of biosecurity and biosurveillance for manmade and natural infectious disease threats to include but not limited to biosurveillance risk mitigation, infectious disease control programs, biosecurity, clinical management of infectious diseases, public health and national planning strategies and research related activities
  • Assist in the development and refining of educational/training courses relevant to the Global Health Security themes.
  • Coordinate/route/respond to emails for country support on the SIPRNET to protect operations security.
  • Coordinate with SMEs and course directors throughout the vetting process.
  • Serve as the senior educator in the performance of international and domestic educational and training endeavors (in-resident & mobile training missions).
  • Perform course reviews by developing, maintaining, and adhering to a course review calendar in a topic related to subject matter expertise.
  • Provide consultation support to AFMS in selected areas such as HIV-AIDS, pandemic influenza, biological weapons defense and for emerging and tropical infectious diseases.
  • Conduct curriculum research for infection control/infectious diseases, flu planning, biosafety and biosecurity, which is necessary for the course writer/editor/director to integrate advances in hospital infection control, healthcare worker safety, and hospital epidemiology.
  • Perform high quality research in alignment with Air Force/DIMO objectives, and develops/instructs DIMO courses on effective design and ethical conduct of medical research.
  • Hold clinical credentials in a DoD Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) in order to maintain clinical relevancy, contribute to patient care in infectious diseases and travel medicine.
  • Maintain the academic partnership between DIMO and the Uniformed Services University (USUHS) through education and the USU medical students.
  • Coordinate/route/respond to emails for country support on the SIPRNET to protect operations security.

Experience Required:

  • Medical Degree with specialization in infectious disease, biosecurity or bio surveillance.
  • Board Certified in infectious disease.
  • Ten (10) years of specialized knowledge/experience in the areas of infectious disease, research, course development and instruction, and teaching is required.
  • Security Requirement: Active T3 clearance
