POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Information Officer's role is to provide strategy and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. The Chief Information Officer directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development while maturing the overall data protection landscape in today's highly regulated banking environment. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology, security and staff.
A member of the bank's Management, Strategic Planning, Technology Steering and Business Continuity Teams.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.
- Design and implementation of IT infrastructure, systems and networks in accordance with the IT
- Strategic Plan.
- Oversees the administration of various Bank hardware and software technology systems.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.
- Ongoing evaluation of staff, technical expertise and future needs of the department while determining the correct balance of utilizing internal staff and third-party partners.
- Ensures all industry and governance controls meet and/or exceed industry regulations through the understanding of a mature Information Security Program.
- Governance will be measured by exams, audits and metrics set by the IT Steering Committee.
- Oversees and matures cybersecurity systems and controls to enhance data protection within the bank's footprint that includes all bank owned hardware and software, cloud systems, software as a service providers, third-party vendors and work from anywhere personnel.
- Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
Education, experience and other requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology
- 7+ years of experience in all phases of information technology, preferably in bank environment
- Minimum of 2 years of previous leadership related experience
- Strategic thinker

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively lead, coach and develop others
