Job Description As a valued leader on our team, you will contribute to planning, initiating, and managing projects. You will identify action steps and their owners and coordinate the efforts to achieve results within planned timelines and budgets, as well as monitor and report on progress against targets and adjust as needed. The External Communications team at Fannie Mae is looking to hire a Project Manager to help with organization, standardization of processes, tracking and completion of caigns, ongoing work, and projects across the organization.
This person will be supporting an entire function at Fannie Mae and will be expected to align work and management of projects across several teams. This role also is expected to manage colleagues within the program management function across External Communications, so people management skills and expertise is essential. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE External Communications Manager-Project Management role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: * Participate in the development of goals, guidelines, action steps, and timelines for projects.
Monitor and report on the work of a team and report regularly on the progress of various projects. Refine goals, guidelines, action steps, and timelines for projects as needed. * Manage and develop team members; Provide ongoing professional guidance and direction.
Identify and recommend metrics that drive and measure business performance. Run complex analysis, develop recommendations, and prepare communications to transmit recommendations to senior leaders. Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to achieve a common goal. Thrives in a team environment. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to interact effectively with various business units and senior leadership.
Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Minimum Required Experiences 6 years Desired Experiences Bachelor's degree or equivalent Skills Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc. Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict Tools Experience using Google Analytics Skilled in Agile methodology or other program management approaches Skilledin using Sync or Workfront Skilled in Excel Skilled in Tableau Experience using SharePoint * Skilled in Microsoft Teams Fannie Mae is an Equal Opportunity Employer, which means we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
