Medical Assistant

Musts:
The Medical Assistant will have experience:
3 + years working as a Medical Assistant in a pediatric environment
Have phone triage experience
Candidate must demonstrate strong & Communication skills
Previous EMR experience required

Duties:
Perform and properly document procedures
Administer medications
Act as liaison between provider and patient
Update the medical records for provide review
Call prescriptions in to pharmacies as directed by provider
Give injections to babies and newborns
Communicate restocking needs to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Maintain medical equipment in proper working order
Assist the provider in emergency situation
Check expiration dates on the emergency cart, making sure supplies are replenished
Perform patient teaching as warranted.
