Desktop Administrator

The Desktop Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of client operating systems, personal computers, phones, printers, peripheral equipment and all endpoint technologies used by Family Health Center (FHC) personnel. This individual will also assist in the support and troubleshooting of connectivity technology including switches, access points, and remote/VPN software. The Desktop Administrator may be dispatched to FHC sites to provide support or provide training on the use of endpoint technologies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/Experience
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Associate’s degree in a technology related field. i.e. (Networking, Cyber Security, Desktop/Server Administration) with 3 years of experience with the administration of desktop computers including Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft patch management, deployment of applications, hardware technology including computer systems, printers, and scanners. Experience supporting desktop technology in a Microsoft network environment including basic understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy. Experience troubleshooting and/or configuring TCP/IP settings, wired and wireless network connectivity, switch technology and VLANs. Experience supporting desktop technologies in a health care environment.
OR

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required with an acceptable recordPreferred/Optional: CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or MCSE Desktop Infrastructure.
Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
