The Behavioral Health Technician position is responsible for implementing interventions in the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP). Additionally, the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) will work collaboratively with all consumers, families, and stakeholders. Position details: This is a part-time position.  Daylight & after school/early evening hours may vary based on assigned consumers. Job responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Technician:

  • Implements interventions in home, school, and various community environments 
  • Completes all required clinical documentation 
  • Participates in assessment of needs, and objective development, as appropriate
  • Collects data related to progress on consumer objectives
  • Responds to emergency/crisis situations with team members and consumers 
  • Maintains assigned, planned schedule 
  • Maintains a commitment to professional development 
  • Adheres to professional and ethical interaction policies and procedures
  • Support on-going and future business needs
Requirements: ** By January 2021
  • Option 1:
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
  2. 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.
OR Option 2: 1. 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services. OR Option 3: 1. Certification as a BCaBA OR Option 4: 1. Certification as an RBT OR Option 5: 1. Certification as a BCAT OR Option 6: 1. Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
