The Financial Controller oversees the preparation of a range of financial reports and audits, participates in projects and activities as required, and assists in the implementation of accounting policies and internal controls for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a company-wide accounting policy manual
• Lead external and internal audits
• Ensure the development of required internal controls over new processes, businesses, and products
• Preparing variance analysis and reporting the results
• Managing current and annual information that could help in forecasting and trends analysis
• Helping to develop financial plans and operation budgets
• Monitoring systems related to accounting, including invoicing functions and payroll
• Managing and supervising staff in the financial department
• Overseeing the management of debt collection and cash flow
• Improving and streamlining the accounting system and its operations
• Assisting in the presentation of reports to the senior executives, board members and their companies' stakeholders
• Assist in development of annual budget
• Monitor expenses and ensure expenditure control
• Manage internal financial and budgetary reporting to departments
• Post and approve month end entries
• Analyze, reconciles, balances and maintain accounting records for balance sheet and other accounts as appropriate
• Prepare and report monthly and annual financial statements

Qualifications and Experience

• BS or BA in Accounting
• Accounting management experience (Doctorate)
• Experience with accounting software such as Great Plains or similar accounting programs
• Experience supervising accounting staff (Doctorate)
• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivables
• 5 years of experience, including previous management responsibility and comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
