Would you like to lead the North American internal audit function for a global leader in composite material manufacturing? This companies products are used in a diverse range of applications including Aircraft Engines, Racing Kayaks, Ski Board Helmets, and Medical Prosthetics. You will be reporting to a boss that is known to advocate for promotions, in fact, a peer to this position in Europe was recently promoted to Manager. This role offers the chance for meaningful interaction with upper management.
The position will be remote initially then can be based in Atlanta, GA, Philadelphia, PA, Anaheim, CA, or Chattanooga, TN.
Responsibilities will include:
- Participating as a member of the Global Audit team to contribute to the formulation of the Global Audit plan. Compile and implement the annual Internal Audit plan for the area of responsibility.
Apply knowledge of US Accounting practices, regulations, compliance, and other GAAP/FASB guidelines to serve as advisor and US best practice guide for the team.
Work to identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
Identify and assess areas of significant business risk and make recommendations on how to mitigate or resolve them.
Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices.
Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
Ensure complete, accurate, and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.
Qualified candidates for this role will have:
Minimum of Bachelors degree in Internal Auditing, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, or similar discipline.
Certifications CIA, CISA, or CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum 3-4 years of internal audit, and/or Big 4 or National professional services experience.
Experience in fraud audit is a plus, experience auditing in a manufacturing environment is also a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge of audit tools like ACL, IDEA, and Microsoft SQL is highly desired.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
