The Pre Kindergarten teacher helps to create a caring and safe environment for the children and develop activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. Candidate must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Implements a quality educational program using the school's current curriculum and develops positive relationships with the children and their parents. S/he observes and documents children’s interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Candidate is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on curriculum, children’s interests and needs, interacts with the children in all facets of learning, and engages children. Candidate must be able to develop a weekly lesson plan, teach curriculum, follow and implement daily schedule/lesson plan, develop and implement sensory skills that promote the five developmental domains and perform minimal housekeeping items/cleaning duties.
Candidate must have:
CDA, Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience teaching in a preschool/school setting
A love for children
Understanding of Best Practices in early childhood education or a strong willingness to learn
Able to work well in a team-teaching environment
Be able to pass criminal background checks, TB test and physical
