Federal Law Enforcement Senior Account Executive 

Fairwinds Technologies is a value-added systems integrator of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) technologies, solutions, and associated services to the US military, federal intelligence and law enforcement community. Fairwinds is looking to augment its experienced go to market team with the addition of a Federal Law Enforcement focused Senior Account Executive.        

Target accounts include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with emphasis on US Customs and Border (CBP), the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and the US Secret Service .  Focus agencies in the Department of Justice include the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and the US Marshalls (USMS.) 

The right candidate is a driven, detail-oriented self starter with five to 10 years of business development and capture experience working directly with and selling to these agencies – preferably in the network technology, security surveillance or cyber arenas.  The ideal candidate will bring working relationships with the various agency program offices and understand how to put Fairwinds’ various contract vehicles to work within those program offices to transact on network services and system integration efforts across a host of C4ISR offerings..

As the ideal candidate, you will build on your already-strong base of program office and staff relationships across the key DHS and DoJ agencies, leveraging Fairwinds’ various contract vehicles and technical networking depth to successfully embed the company into various agency projects, programs and strategic initiatives.

Grow Fairwinds Federal Law Enforcement Business

  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues of network services and products
  • Demonstrate a working relationship with key Agency Program personnel
  • Develop relationships with key business and industry partners.
  • Develop sales action plans for assigned territory
  • Oversee the activities of your accounts 
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals
  • Develop online sales platforms
  • Coordinate and monitor online sales activity in Salesforce
  • Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
  • Track, collate and interpret sales figures in Salesforce
  • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue
  • Generate timely sales reports in Salesforce
  • Develop pricing schedules and rates as needed
  • Help prepare budgets
  • Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
  • Analyze data to identify sales opportunities
  • Develop promotional ideas (and material if needed)
  • Attend trade meetings and industry conventions
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
  • Up to 30% Travel required

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Aptitude for both analyzing technical concepts and translating them into business terms, and for mapping business requirements into technical features.

Strong knowledge of business processes (Sales, Service, Marketing, Support) business applications and automation.

Demonstrated working understanding of U. S. Government procurement process and associated prime contracting vehicles as well as knowledge of how to exercise them.
