Fairwind Corp is excited to announce a new Systems Engineer (Intermediate-Mid level) position in Huntsville, AL. We are looking for a candidate that wants to work for a fast growing small company that supports programs in the Department of Defense.
Must be a US Citizen.

Essential Functions
· Serve on console to support real-time flight test execution as instrumentation controller or analytical positions.
· Assist in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for complex missile flight tests.
· Participate in risk management assessment and software/hardware development of test configurations.
· Provide support for radar project development.
· Assist in diagnostic efforts related to problems uncovered by system tests.
· Provide recommendations for system improvements and modifications.
· Continuously share knowledge and lessons learned with coworkers.
· Work closely with remote staff to accomplish engineering activities.
· Execute simultaneous tasks within broadly defined parameters.
· Support occasional travel to remote location.
Required Skills
· Understanding of radar fundamentals and electro-magnetic wave theory.
· MATLAB programing proficient.
· Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX.
· Familiarity with MS Office including Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to interface at a technical level with engineers from varying backgrounds.
· Ability to exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism.
· Excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills.
Required Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline.
· Two (2) or more years of experience in systems engineering.
· Project management experience desired.
· Radar engineering, operations and maintenance experience desired.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
· Support occasional TDY travel to Kwajalein Atoll.
· The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
· Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
