JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading a team that reviews products, materials, and processes during the manufacturing of modular homes to ensure they meet all necessary quality requirements. The primary function of this role is to drive quality back to the source and be a critical partner in the elimination of defects. Duties include running quality tests, identifying defects, measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications and training production specialists on quality procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and advocate a culture of quality within the team
• Be the primary liaison for third party inspections within the factory
• Inspect and test materials, sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure compliance
• Be fluent in the building code and product specifications to ensure that production is meeting standards
• Recommend any necessary changes to improve or enhance production processes
• Initiate and conduct training as needed to update and inform team members on protocols, procedures and standards
• Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and work with the supply chain team to correct issues with suppliers
• Ensure products meet customer expectations and adhere to Fading West’s Quality Standards
• Communicate the results of inspections and assist with corrective actions
• Maintain quality documentation where necessary and write reports to document deficiencies and errors found during inspections

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years performing construction inspections or preferred
• Prior experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Ability to read design and production drawings
• Strong regard for quality assurance
• Working knowledge of construction industry products, processes and building systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to train others effectively
• Degree in Construction Technology, Engineering or equivalent preferred

REQUIREMENTS

• In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
• This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-disclosure agreement
• Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
• Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
• May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology

COMPENSATION

• Hourly Rate Range: $26 - $33 per hour

(Rate commensurate with experience)

• Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
