As a Logistics and Planning Specialist you're responsible for supporting strategic logistics transactions between multiple parties including Factorial Energy Export / Import vendors and outside the continental US logistics teams, and third-party logistics providers. In this highly visible role, you'll oversee the importation and exportation of material in support of multiple country specific program.

Responsibilities
  • Logistics and Planning Specialist you're responsible for supporting strategic logistics transactions between multiple parties including Factorial Energy Logistic's Teams, Export / Import outside the Continental US logistics teams, and third-party logistics providers
  • In this highly visible role, you'll oversee the importation and exportation of material in support of multiple country specific program
  • Working closely with Supply Chain leadership in supporting strategic logistics and supply chain plans
  • Working with internal product, Export/Import and Logistics teams
  • Working externally with Third Party logistics providers Responsibility for the Logistics scope and basis of estimates for New Programs
  • Supporting transportation process and updating shipment status over multiple international programs
  • Provides support to our Logistics Team, including dispatching, document preparation, tracking and tracing , verifying load integrity
  • Tracking and understanding all costs associated with each shipment and identifying areas for cost reduction
  • Responsibility of Logistics budgets Managing shipping transactions, country specific documentation, and milestone tracking/reporting
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically if needed
  • This Logistics specialist will be responsible for assisting projects, and consignments involving dangerous goods and will work with all business related cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to understands the knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages. Ability to lift 50 lbs or above. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to complete all basic training for Dangerous Goods.
  • Maintain compliance with the IATA (International Air Transport Association) dangerous goods regulations and the US DOT 49CFR (Department of Transportation regulations that include hazardous materials transportation regulations and federal motor carrier regulations)
  • Reports and escalate dangerous good issues or emergency in a timely manner.
  • Perform Audits on Shipments (global level) on a weekly basis using internal shipping systems.
  • Verify accuracy of dangerous goods declarations.

Qualifications:
  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of prior relevant experience or Associate's degree 2-4 years of prior relevant experience, In absence of a degree, 5+ years of relevant experience is required
  • Experience with Supply Chain and/or Logistics
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
  • International Supply Chain Experience
  • Experience with other Financial reporting tools
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills
  • Experience as a project lead
  • Consistently track and trace order movements from origination to destination and solve operational challenges
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with subordinates, peers, and leaders at all levels of management
  • Excellent knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support concepts, requirements, export documentations, export tariff, and processes
