Job Description:
As anIndustrial LightingOutside Sales Representativeyou will skillfully and assertively market the services and products of Facility Solutions Group to their entire assigned sales territory and prospective opportunities. The ideal candidate should be highly driven and motivated in providing a quality sales experience to the client. We are seeking candidates with strong prospecting, communication, and presentation skills.
+ Promote lighting and electrical products
+ Concepts of lighting design, application, and industry best practices
+ The lighting and electrical supply, service and energy retrofitting industry
+ FSG specific systems including ordering, inventory, scheduling, and quotations software
+ After successfully demonstrating your ability to learn, retain and excel in our culture and environment you will be promoted to
+ Develop a thriving sales territory focused on the commercial, industrial, hospitality, multifamily, healthcare, city-state-municipality and retail markets
+ Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with prospective and established customers to identify customer's needs, develop winning proposals, and close orders & win contracts
+ Display or demonstrate products using samples or catalogs and emphasize salable features
+ Survey and audit customer's facilities to generate customized product ordering guides, maintenance contracts, sign maintenance, electrical upgrades, and/or energy-saving lighting retrofits
+ Follow up within 24 hours on quotations in an effort to win the order, or receive feedback to use in future quotations
+ Quote prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
+ Investigate and resolve customer problems
+ Participate in marketing projects and promotions as directed by management and the Sales and Marketing group
+ Prepare call reports of business activity and keep expense accounts
+ Attend appropriate continuing education courses in the industry as directed by the assigned manager


The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
+ Bachelor degree preferred - High school diploma minimum
+ Previous experience in a customer service or sales role preferred
+ Will have a strong working level of Microsoft office suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
+ Valid driver's license and fully insured vehicle
+ Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
+ Have enthusiastic, outgoing, competitive and self-motivated attributes.
+ Be a self-starter with the ability to prospect and create client lists through cold calling, face-to-face selling, phone, and internet research
+ Have a positive, customer-focused attitude balanced with confidence and assertiveness
+ Have an interest in learning and developing themselves and building their career
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to multitask while staying organized
+ Our most successful sales reps tend to have some mechanical aptitude, so if you're someone who enjoys understanding how a gadget works then you might be a great sales rep at FSG!
+ Base + Commission, no limit on earning potential
