State of the art Facial & Oral Surgery Institute (www.fosinstitute.com) is seeking an experienced and professional Treatment Coordinator/Biller to join our fast-growing team! The position provides great potential for financial success based on performance and growth.

Being able to multitask, problem solve, have a positive attitude, excellent customer service, sales expertise, excellent marketing skills and being able to initiate and grow relationships with referring offices are absolute requirements.
The ideal candidate must also have excellent organizational skills along with the ability to work with different types of personalities, creating a positive and energetic environment and the ability to overcome routine challenges in order to provide a highly personalized customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding social skills as well as being detail oriented, ethical, passionate, and have excellent communication skills. A positive attitude and wanting to grow with the practice are a must. Proficiency in computer software, Microsoft Office and Excel, as well as being easily trainable to work with variety of computer applications and multiple software systems is required.
At least two years of experience in Billing for Oral Surgery and Treatment Coordination is required. Being familiar with Medical Billing is preferred.
Candidate MUST have a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge of medical and dental terminology is required. Being familiar with the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery / Facial Plastic Surgery is required.
Salary will be based on experience and rate of progress. There will be additional commission and bonus based on sales performance and growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Present, finalize, and coordinate surgical cases on a daily basis
-Follow up on routine tasks and complete each task in an efficient and timely manner
-Communicate with multiple insurance companies regarding estimates and benefits
-Assist patients with multiple financing companies
-Be able to resolve problems and administrative issues in an efficient and rapid manner
-Process dental insurance claims. The ideal candidate is an expert dealing with insurance companies
-Communicate with our outside Medical Billing Company and facilitate the claim process
-Prepare invoices, organize and process bills due on a monthly or biweekly basis
-Being familiar with WinOMS software is a plus (training will be provided)
-Organize / confirm surgeon’s daily schedule / agenda – minimize cancelations, maximize efficiency, taking advantage of open spaces on the schedule for all FOSI employees
-Act as the surgeon’s personal assistant in handling all associated office duties and being able to make decisions independently or in certain instances after consulting with the surgeon if necessary
-May assist the Office Manager in HR related duties
-Answer phone calls in a very professional manner. Being the first point of contact with new patients and speaking knowledgeably about potential treatment options and understanding what it takes to convert a potential lead to a confirmed appointment and execute accordingly. Being a sales expert is an ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT
-Being comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
-Assist / provide strategies in relation to marketing / building relationships with referring offices
-Maintain a professional / ethical work environment
-Understand and abide by HIPPA regulations and maintain confidentiality
-Organize and review medical history, medical alerts, and consent forms
-Organize, scan, and transfer all paper documents to EMR
-Document detailed office notes when needed
-Review preoperative instructions, post operative instructions, contact patients after completion of the procedure and answer questions/review concerns. Navigate the online review process after completion of procedure and follow up to make sure all reviews have been submitted
-Communicate with dental / medical offices in order to obtain medical clearances / other indicated records
-Be the major navigator of the new patient protocol as well as preparing and mailing reports of all consults / procedures
-EMR / Documents ready for all types of appointment prior to patient being seen
-Not think of the position as a “9-5” job and go above and beyond to guarantee success while being rewarded with commission and bonus based on growth
-Critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to make sound judgments and proceed with correct decisions independently
-Be able to handle the pressure from work environment and act professionally at all times
-Extensive set of skills in verbal and written methods of communication
-Ability to create strategies and effectively work with dentists, physicians, various health care providers, patients and their families, and ancillary staff to maximize potential for growth
