Senior Inside Sales Engineer

This role is the primary support resource for our customers and involved in all purchasing, logistics, sales, and technical support activities. This role is at the center of our company's operations and requires wide-ranging collaboration with other internal resources and external partners (the factory or other suppliers) to meet the needs of our customers. This role requires a candidate with a desire to develop an expert level of product and application knowledge through training and day-to-day experience.

Based on your learning aptitude and experience, this position will transition to the Manager of Inside Sales in approximately 12 months. The position is based in our home office, in Noblesville Indiana.


  • Offer technical solutions by examining customer requirements and recommending product solutions
  • Resolve technical support requests or issues
  • Prepare quotations, receives and process customer orders, issues purchase orders to suppliers, manages shipments from the factory and deliveries to the customer
  • Extensive interaction with customers, partners and other team members from a variety of platforms
  • Identify and communicate customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
  • Supports team in executing and achieving the company's territory and market business plans
  • Ensures all transactions reflect accurate accounting practices, working proactively with the accounting authority, as needed
  • Available for infrequent (<5%) travel to visit customers and factories


  • Motivated, self-starter with a passion for learning and helping others
  • Degree in engineering (or another technical field) OR a broad business (e.g. sales, marketing or accounting) experience with relevant technical experience
  • Experience with flow meter and control valve products
  • Basic understanding of a range of mechanical system control systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills


  • Customer service or sales support experience
  • 10+ years of progressive advancement in the workforce
  • Experience and knowledge of accounting and use of a purchasing, product management and sales system
