The Opportunity: FM:Systems is looking for a DevOps Cloud Lead with a strong background creating pipeline automation and orchestration along with other DevOps systems and processes to join our Product Engineering team.? This role is a hands on position including coding, development, and deployment for a very experienced DevOps engineer.
This person will play a crucial role enhancing and maintaining our CI/CD capabilities as a technology leader as well as growing our technology teams capabilities. The expectation this position will be a hands-on technical lead designing and coding with with sprint deliverables. You should be passionate about building the right solutions right and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where flexibility and communication is essential.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Technical Responsibilities + As the lead DevOps engineer, collaborate cross functionally to plan, design, develop and deploy the automation and orchestration that enables the development and hosting teams to deliver new and existing applications + Design, create, and deploy CI/CD tooling and processes for a consistent, iterative, and automated deployment pipeline from development to production in our private/public cloud in an AWS environment + Develop, manage, and maintain automated tools to simplify, standardize, and automate common repetitive administration, support, and scaling tasks + Espouse an infrastructure as code mentality + Establish monitoring and alerting capabilities to manage production products and services + Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, establish trends, validate baselines, and identify outlier to develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems + Coordinating with the InfoSec team for data security implementation and compliance + Ensure teams can triage and debug issues in production and non-production environments + Contribute to disaster recovery processes that will adhere to established RPO and RTO + Collaborate with technical leaders to deliver architecture and design documentation + Mentor other engineers, encouraging engineering best practices, demonstrating how to create effective designs and write maintainable, reusable code + Ensure quality, performance, usability, and maintainability are built into our solutions at the right balance + Work with other technical leaders to ensure consistency across our applications and development processes + Communicate and coordinate effectively as a technical delivery leader within the team, across our technology teams, and with our business partners to deliver on top priorities + Participate in iterative process improvements around design, implementation, and testing to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality, leading to achieving desired outcomes + Provide 3rd level support on cloud platforms for deployment and other issues + Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience: + 10+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience + 5+ years as a DevOps technical lead + 8+ years working with AWS cloud and large virtualized and distributed enterprise environments + 8+ years hands on experience designing and delivering solutions for teams to work collaboratively using version control, creating enterprise level CI/CD for enterprise SaaS platform teams and proper change management control practice + Extensive experience with latest DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Octopus, Terraform, PowerShell, etc. + Deep understanding of concepts related to "infrastructure as code", configuration management, and experience automating manual processes + Experience troubleshooting and understand how to setup a code delivery system to geographically redundant service in the cloud + Understanding of application and infrastructure stacks with first-hand knowledge and experience on best practices for replication and handling demand loads + Proven success automating previously manual processes + Track record of working with mission critical systems that are client facing + Working knowledge of Active Directory, MS-SQL Server, and IIS Webserver + Experience defining KPIs that measure what matters and providing representative analytics + Bachelors degree in a computer related degree program or equivalent work experience + Ability to successfully interface with business stakeholders and engineers to deliver the right solution that balances product, quality, technical, and timeline requirements + Passion for mentoring junior engineers to produce elegant, maintainable technology deliverables + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + A self-starter with an acute sense of ownership and the ability, passion, creativity, and confidence to independently problem solve and produce results + Ability to thrive in an environment that requires context switching and juggling many balls simultaneously + Experience working with Agile development practices Desired Skills: + Experience with Jira or similar tools + Experience with AppVeyor + Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and RHEL 8 + Experience with Serverless technologies and managing Lambda functions + Experience in designing resilient and fault-tolerant systems + GCP and Oracle experience + MS SQL Experience FM:Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
