DESCRIPTION: The main objective and purpose of the Inventory Control Supervisor is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s inventory monitoring system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory control related issues and processes. • Form and maintain relationships with IT, accounts payable, accounting, sales and site operations to identify, reconcile and solve inventory related issues. • Supervise inventory counts (periodic cycle and year end), research discrepancies and ensure timely adjustments. • Work with site operations to clear discrepancies • Prepare monthly reporting for review of inventory values, obsolescence, disposal and costing issues. Ad-hoc Data manipulation and report generation for Business leaders • Periodic travel required (10%)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • 3-5 years Accounting/Inventory Control/Supply Chain experience required. • In-depth experience and strong command of Excel required. • In-depth understanding of accounting principles concerning inventory. • Must demonstrate high level of systems knowledge. This individual will be required to retrieve information from the ERP system and will need to possess the analytical skills to interpret data and summarize findings to management. • Must be analytical and possess problem solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills
