HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

Reporting to Corporate Human Resources, the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is an integral member of the HR team and is responsible for the timely entry and organization of employee information into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, assistance with recruitment and on-boarding processes, benefit administration, employee requests and all employee filing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the recruitment process: full-cycle recruitment including writing and posting job ads, pre-screening applicants, reviewing applicants, managing background checks and/or participating in interviews in conjunction with hiring managers
  • Coordinate on-boarding activities and accurate completion of new hire packages
  • Create and maintain employee personnel, medical, and benefit files; maintains branch I-9 files in accordance with company policies and legal
  • Maintain and update employee information in the company ERP system, Viewpoint, including changes in status, performance reviews, hire information, and end of employment details
  • Receive certifications from the North American certification email and upload to Viewpoint for both US and Canadian employees
  • Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) for new hire set up and employee departures from the organization
  • Assist Corporate Human Resources with the annual open enrollment process; provides first-line answers to benefit related questions
  • Coordinate and support the 401k program
  • Respond to verification of employment and unemployment requests
  • Assist with implementing multiple HR initiatives

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working in an office based environment in an administrative capacity, experience in Human Resources is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat required
